Fstop Satori bag....

A few months ago now i got a supprise email from the guys at Fstop gear saying they had a space on there pro team, and had picked me to invite on to it.

I have been aware of there brand and packs since i have been shooting, and have always loved what they did,the bags and the photographers they support, so when i was given a chance to get involved in that i jumped on it.

The bag was waiting for me at home when i got back from Bulgaria just in time for Ft william and the first WC where it got a damn good test, especialy in Slovenia in all the mud and rain.

It held its own in everyway and has now become somewhat of a "need", for those of you that ride, like when you got 5-10s. you never thought you needed them, those battered old vans did the job great, then you got 5-10s and wondered how you didnt seat bounce everything. This bag is the same.

Sturdy as ken construction, pockets and straps for more tripods, spades, skis etc than you know what to do with, great internal frame system that makes it feel half its weight ( this is amazing it really is ) great padding in the HUGE camera compartment, and water resistant without any extra coat on it.

Back to the frame work, the bag i carry about at the Wcs is about 30Lb but when you put it in this bag, and put it on it feels half the weight. I dont know how it does it but it really does, I have forced some of my mocking friends to try it rather than just say yeh right, and they are all scilenced as soon as they try it...

Anyway yeh you get the drift, I like the bag, a lot.

If your thinking about getting a new camera backpack for carrying gear around in tough terrain in the elements then i dont think there is another option....

Few photos of me using the bag on a shoot i did for Dirt mag this weekend...

Some of me riding...

After shooting all the fastest locals down on the Gawton 1:04 on sunday for Dirt mag, I was buzzing to get out and do some riding myself...

So gave Mono a call and we went for a ride out at Gawton on some less well known tracks on the hill...He got some snaps of me riding and I got some of him you can see on my Flickr stream...

Anyway yeh, keep an eye on the next issue of dirt for the article on the locals, and here are 2 photos of me riding. just to prove im not just a geek with a camera, im a geek with a camera that can whip!

Maribor Wc 1 !

Right, well now i have time to think, i will post something up on here for a change!

Been manic for the last 3-4 weeks with working and traveling, been in Wales,Bulgaria,Scotland,Slovenia the past 4 weeks so a lot of traveling. about 3 days solid awake spent in vans....

But all good fun, wouldnt be doing anything else to earn money.

Maribor was great, good to kick the season off with a good race, few unexpect results, some crazy weather, and a hellish track...

Ill stop ranting but all in all a good month, cant put any real ncie shots up as i have sent them to mags, but here are 4 i like and can put up.

next on the list is a shoot for dirt on the new 1:04, shoot for a new bike product launch ( at rd 3 BDS ) and the IXS... GO GO GO!

Bulgaria wrap up photos...

Got back home this evening for 24 hours before heading off to the BDS in Ft Bill thurday evening...no rest for the wicked eh!

Anyway on my last day in Bulgaria i had a day set aside to do some riding, and take a few snaps of the guys i was riding with, nothing for anyone just needed to get out and ride a bike after watching them all weekend.

As these dont have any end client in mind can post em up on here...

Few more on my Flickr here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/9381585@N02/

And on a differant and frankly amazing note, as everything in Bulgaria is cheap as chips if not cheaper look at where we stayed for a few nights... Big apartment in the middle of the capital city, huge, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, common room, wifi etc etc

all for.....about £10 a night! its bonkers!

Anyway Have to be away from home by 5 again tomorrow, so a flat out day of editing the video from Bulgaria, some other bits and bobs, then blogging from the BDS starts...Chow!

Shambahla Open Chest cam

Borrowed a gopro HD off Ram Bikes Importer Joe Hayhoe out here in Bulgaria for a day and strapped it to Ben Baker who followed Rob Smith ( who finished the 1,2 in finals)

Chest cam, and i know its a bit wobbley, it was tight its just this track is a monster....and bens on the thin side ha

Anyway gives you an idea of what is out there for racing if you go outside the norms. UCI points and only 10-20 guys fast enough to be any worry, not for the brits though with Baker putting in 7 secs over Smith in second...

Full race vid and photos up in a few days when i have 24 hours at home between trips...

Bulgaria day 2-3

Right sorry for the lack of updates from this but the days are long and flat out.

up at 7, on the hill for 8, walk down the HUGE hill, down for dinner at 6 then wait about for our lift home till 10-11...

And the fact the images from here are pretty saleable, the sort of shots that will make a great story in a magazine.

Anyway track is just getting rougher and rougher with braking bumps, and when the track is fast and 6 mins long thats not a good thing.

Few more photos on monday when i have some time to ride and chill out for a day before we fly back.

One of some tight turns on the track...the hill is this steep for 60% of it!
